This is my first time to post anything here. I mostly just read everyone's threads trying to learn what I can. My primary interest is boats but I have these two chassis that I need help identifying so I could try to find what I need to get one going.

The mostly aluminum one has the words "Team Restricted" on the chassis "Picco" on the front bumper and what looks like "bmt" on the tank.

The other one just has the letters "PB" on the front bumper and tank.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I dont know what brand they are but the picco is a brand of engine. Did the cars come with engines?

They did not come with any engines. I do suspect that the mostly aluminum one is a picco but I have no idea about the other one. I believe they are fairly old. I am just hoping that someone who has been running cars a while will be able to tell me what they are so I will know what I am looking for as I watch for parts on ebay. I would like to get one going just to play around with a little .

rcollector the second car looks like a bmt 891 to me only the radio plat looks different to me

Picco use to make 1/8 scale on road cars during the 80's. They made an all alumnum car for associated called the picco genesis.

The one on the right is defenitly 8th scale Bmt as I remember that I build one for my friend on the mid 90s, but this one on the picture have 8th scale picco (under Kyosho) as I have 10th scale picco before (have kyosho mark on the recever holder) that looks like a BMT 10th scale, I guest that was the 931 BMT.

I have never seen a bmt that was all alumnium I have owned several bmt's the suspension parts were all plastic. The Picco genesis at a glance looked like a copy of the bmt except its suspension components were alumnium.

Rccollector.......there is a company in Austin Texas that has some bmt 891 blitz parts left over for sale the name of this company is speedline I will try to locate the email address. If you need some parts like a clutch or somethimg he may be able to help you out.

The 10th scale BMT has alum. radio tray in it, my suspenssion was upgrade to aluminum shocks, I've seen tons of aluminum upgrade long tome ago for the BMT, like the A-arms, The picco has aluminum arms in it, upper and lower, front and rear, also the shocks. BMT also have the three speed upgrade (8th scale).

I could not find any BMT 3-speeds over here so I purchased a fusion, I took out the thundertiger 21 and put a RB C-5 in

This day, don't know if there is any 3 speed parts( option) available for this car coz this car is way old, on the early 90s, most I don't seen any one driving this car, 10th or 8th scale.

I don't think that the company is in business any more which is sad. Bmt developed alot of the technology for the modern 1/8 scale car and won many world championships.

The one on the right is a BMT. I four 1/8 BMT chassis and only one has the three speed. Yes they made the three speed. I have the manual. Can email you a coppy if needed. They were the @#@# in the day. If you want to get rid of let me know. Thanks

I have a BMT 891 that I need two pullys and a belt for, if anybody can spare one I would love to buy them. if not then i need to sell the car to some one who can use it.
