Default RS4 RTR3 Evo gearing problem

I just bought some new gears for my car. The gears are for the 2 speed. 1st gear is 18/43, and 2nd is 22/39. I put them into my car to see if they would work but the gears are to far apart to mesh. Do I need to move the motor over to make them mesh or do I need to get different gears? If I need to move the motor over I think I'll need new motor mounts because the stock holes are not ajustable. Any help is appreciated!!

there should be holes in the chassis for the motor mounts to move around the chassis.
