RE: ntc3 + O.S. 18tz = ?
Well, I can get either version of the kit. But I'm not yet sure which way to go. Whichever engine I decide on, will determine which version of the car I buy. Are there any .12's that will hang with the .18 in speed?

Hmm. It has good HP, but not as much RPM as some .12s have. It's a close call and depends on what engine. I'll wait and see if any people show up at the track with any .18cvrs. Mostly all run RBs, Novas, and few Novamegas. Mostly all those high dollar engines, but see my track is HUGE. Nitro sedans don't have a chance catching ANY 8th there even if they had a TZ in there, which would make it suck more than owning say an NS12 S3. Seen a few ppl even with V15s and those are badd muthas. If you want to spend less, bag the SE kit, and drop the .18cvr right in. It's $90 and you definately cant go wrong. The stock clutch setup works great. Try it out with the stock pipe and see how ya like it. Regardless it's still gonna be fast.

Thanks, before I read your last post, I already added it to my cart on tower hehe. I will get the OS CV-R (p) SG shaft version, non pull.. so i guess with the SE version, I will need to get the non pull flywheel and engine mounts. Thats all I should need to be able to run that engine right? Its only about $13 for both those items, so not a very bad setup. I will more than likely order this setup tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for your help Saboteur10573. BTW, Where is Port Chester?

Actually they said you can run non ps engine with the same stock engine mounts. No need for a new flywheel either. For better results, come on here

Yes the .18 TZ ported will be a great Drag Racing Engine!! And here is a link to a website that sells 40mm wide rear tires. http://rcmarket.com.hk/product_info....oducts_id=9059 These tires are a must if you want to put the power down. Should go right on. You want style no. 101549 in the exceed tires.

Original poster, a .18 TZ will work in a NTC3 without a doubt. I've ven ran .21 big blocks in a NTC3 and the car handled/handles just fine and is a rocket on the straights. The .18TZ is not a $180 engine either. You can find them for around $140 and lower at times just shop around. If you are so confused by now, then I'd look at the Picco .12 torque which is a fast little engine too.
Good luck with your choice.
