RE: Cant Decide on NTC3 Engine
[8D]For the money, $175, you could try CEN's new big block turbo, .15 and it's rated at 1.8hp, at 38,000rpm, I'm putting one in this spring. I was happy with their .15 big block in my CT4s, and they also have an engine swap program, send them any motor, and get $25 off the turbo. Just my 2 pennies worth.

The original ns12s believe it or not won't hang with the Rody. LOL! I think I'll upgrade to the RB V12 3 port turbo later on.

wolfman, with that engine trade in thing, you could probably sell your engine for more than $25 on E bay, and then use that towards the engine you want to buy...
if you have a 15FE, its not worth selling, go for the $25, lol..

RE: Cant Decide on NTC3 Engine
Thanks guys for all your responses and help!
I'm thinkin I will probably go with the OS engine.
But now that I think about it I need a good pipe because I want to get the most out of the engine. Any suggestions on a good pipe? It does not have to be ROAR legal.
Thanks

Go with an RB v.12 or v.15 depending on how much power your looking for, you can even consider a v15 Rody roam modded monster if you don't mind spending 400 bucks on a motor.

hmm 78, I find that hard to believe considering my rody roam modified v.21 c5 will puts me at the 100mph marker.
Well maybe if you had the right gearing and a foot ball field length of room to get up to speed

That Rody won't get you going to 100mph. Sry dude, but it just won't. There isn't any gearing to get any nitro sedan upto those speeds. That would have to be custom work. Also a 2speed wouldn't work so it would have to be single. The Rody Roem engines are really expensive. They range from $350 for the .12s and $400 for the .15s. The OS will hang or pass them and it costs half the price.

you can change the gearing in different places, like the pulleys on belt drive cars. put a larger pulley on the diff drive belts, and that will make a tremendous difference, especialy if you find smaller diff cases.

RE: Cant Decide on NTC3 Engine
my 950 has been digitally clocked by a radar gun at a test track at 97.6 mph so theres no argument there. Although the car doesn't see these speeds on a regular basis I have that satisfaction.
and to reply to your O.S. comment there are many people out there that will disagree with that statement. But lets keep it real, no need to start a flame war over RB and OS. We all know who's on top.

Yeah, unfortunately I gotta go back to the 15T CB I had on the 8th buggy with picco .26. The power is just WAY too much. Gotta gear up with this bad ****. It skids tires from standing start. Insanity!
