anyone got a FR 18 in their rs4?
im going to buy an rs4 3 and am considering installing a Fantom 18. is thing easy to tune? thats mainly what im looking for.

I don't have one in an RS4, but I do have one in my T-MAXX. It really seems to hold its tune well and is quite a powerful motor. It is a perfect motor for something like my T-MAXX, but I am curious if it would be overkill on something like that...?[>:]

the cv-r is more powerful? os rates it at 1.35hp and the fantom is at 1.9. i know these numbers are an estimate but thats a larger difference. The Fantom is also suppose to rev higher. and i do have an 18 cv-rx and love it.

igh, you're also looking at FACTORY RATINGS.
OS os notorious for underrating its engines, whereas fantom and almost every other manufacturer is notorious for OVERrating its engines.
RCCA did a test of all the .18s on the market at the time, and the OS .18 WAS indeed the most powerful of the bunch.

Not sure on the issue, but I would look 3-5 months back. And yes it was the cvr. The tz and tm would have destroyed the competition had they been included in the shootout. I believe rcca dynoed the tz at over 2hp

i think u should put the epic .18 in ur rs4 3. it has higher revs than the 18cvr, and it rips in my car. no literally, it rips my tires off the rim if u glue it wrong.
