RE: what tires are best?
You always want your rear to have more traction than the front or the rear end will swing around on you. In a way, you almost have to subdue front traction to run smoother. Sounds crazy but it's true. You can run the same all around but you'll have to tweak your camber and toe-in to lessen front traction if you start to spin out.
Another note. I notice you are in California. While it's not as hot there as in Texas, I usually always run FIRM inserts all the way around during spring summer. Anything over 75 degrees is firm weather IMO.

iacolb12,
the wierd thing about Cali is the weather is random. Yesterday it was like 85 degrees F, now its like 65 and it looks like its gonna rain. But anyways im getting hard foams.

RcSuCkA,
I'm glad I don't have to deal with the weather changes you do. In Texas the weather changes if you wait five minutes, but in summer you can pretty much guarantee HOT and rainy, HOT and windy, HOT and dry...

C3Racing,
i was talking about using hard inner foams. Anyways, how do your x-patterns performs? When i had them, they got worn out and torn up after 3 runs.
iacolb12,
At least Texas stays hot in the summer! Over here in summer, you can expect any kind of weather. i think they call it "California Weater" lol

You had those X-Patt wannabe's didnt ya? I got a 1/2 gall out of my HPI X-Patts. and that was with the stock(grey sponge) foams that the tires come with. Now im ready to mount belted x-patt's with the hard round inner foams!! those should even last longer and i ran my old one's hard 110% bashed .. i will let you know how my new ones do!
P.S You got a stronger engine than i do Your Epic .18 v my .12 CV-R!

Try the stock setup first. Then make whatever adjustments you feel necessary. Someone elses terrain may not be like your's, so that's where you'll have to make what will work for you.

RE: what tires are best?
u got to be kidding me. HPI tires. I use foams at revelations track. i use elleigi techniques slick for bashing. awsome traction. DOsen't slide it's rear around turns even with powerful motor
