since i'm a noob here's my question,i was running my rs4 a lil while ago and all of a sudden the car stopped,the car was still on but when i reved the car it wouldn't move like if the brakes were on,can anybody tell what could be the cause?thnkx

Blown tranny? Blown diff? Snapped driveshafts? There are plenty of possibilites, you need to give us your "symptoms". Is the driveshaft spinning at all? If so, then start looking at your diff back. If it's not spinning, then you start looking tranny forward. You may have done something as serious as blowing the tranny gears all the way down to something simple as a worn clutch.

ya like spazzy said could be alot with the info u gave us so far. I had that happen, and the motor screws came out, so the motor was reving but not makin contact with the gears. so tell us more info of wat seems to look wrong or not there, then we can help from there

i really apreciate the help guys,i didnt get in detail earlier,cause i was on my way out but after i got home i checked the car and it turned out to be a rock stuck on the belt.u guys rock thnkx.
