stuck up engine?
Sorry for a dumb question.... but I am really clueless. How do you fix an engine that has the pull start mechanism stuck up? is there any way? its an old Kyosho super 10 so i am willing to practice fixing it.

RE: stuck up engine?
Funny story...
when I FIRST got my first RC nitro...I had pulled the pullstarter all the way out, but wouldn't go in.
called my LHS, and Guy (real cool dude) told me to bring it in.
on my way in, I bumped the car on a shelf. directly after it bumped the shelf, the pullstarter wound back up, and I haven't had a lick of trouble out of it in five years now.
how's that, LOL.
but really, try hitting it, that's my answer to everything

RE: stuck up engine?
Take the pullstart assembly off the engine. Check to see if the recoil spring has snapped, if it has you will need a new pullstart, if not you should be able to repair it (probably just a case of something jamming)

If you cant get a replacement pullstart, this is the only option. It will take ages, and annoy you to hell, but it will work... eventually.

First, Ebay is offering this part try with this link: [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34063&item=5982474876&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34063&item=5982474876&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V[/link] , tha part number of Kyosho is 74313-15 if your engine is GT15S-CR the original of Superten.
Second, you can call to Kyosho America in US 1(800)716-4518 they can help you to find a LHL.
Hope this helps,

RE: stuck up engine?
or you can do the easy thing and turn the flywheel and it will retract in.
Good Luck getting the spring back in, when you do the spring will be strecthed out. Its easier to buy a new one.
