There are a ton of hop ups for RS4 3 EVO from many companies. Hot Bodies parts are the most popular. To upgrade your car you only need a few things:

1. Front and Rear CVDs
2. Threaded Shocks
3. Graphite Front and Rear Deck
4. Graphite Upper Deck

After that you will have a nice little ride. Also if you want you could upgrade your electronics like getting two digital servos.

The T-15 might break the 1hp mark bearly though, it dosn't make 1.2hp. Most .18 makes 1.3+hp

that .18 would be a major increase over the t-15.

This part I'm always confuse, Threaded shocks which one the one from hpi 48-60mm while the stock shocks that came with the RS4 evo is 64mm (length) why is it the treaded shocks are better, the longer the better or shorter? Also I am looking for a descent ride hide coz. the place I'm bashing has uneven surface. I'm currently using stock springs (black, shocks). And could you tell me what is a progressive springs? Thanks

This is what you need

1. Aluminum Hex Hubs

2. Turnbuckles - dont pop off like the stock ones do

3. Threaded Shocks - let you adjust the ride height easily and yes they are 64mm and use the springs they come with

4. Front and Rear Shock Towers - keep your car stiff and save weight

5. CVDs - dont pop out like the stock dogbones do ones

6. Grphite Upper Deck - takes the slop from your chassis
Couldn't find a picture.

I use the composite threaded shocks, there are much lighter than the aluminum ones and work just as good, here are the part #'s

HPI Composite threaded shocks... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDBF2&P=7

HPI Threaded Aluminum shocks... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVB85&P=7

hey i was doing some reading and i noticed your car had what looks like the nitro star heat sink on it.. i ordered one from hpi suppose to be for the .15 fe engine which i have but the cutout of the heat sink does not seem to match the engine mount.. the holes fit and all but i am afread that it is going to leak... compression or damage the piston.. can you tell me if the heat on your car is .18 or .15 and what you did to correct the problem.. to make it clear the nitro star heatsink has different cut then the stock .15 heatsink it came with.

Very good eye your right. The heatsink is mounted on a HPI T-15 Engine. The purple head you see is for a nitrostar. THe holes will line up however, the stock is a non turbo head where the glow plug threads directly to the head. The head I got uses a a seperate piece for the glow plug. Thats the part that doesnt sit right unless it is shimed. So far I have gotten it to run very well and cool. But I'm not using that engine anymore. Right now Im breaking in a O.S CVRX-18. I just hate the stock heatsink it ruins my color scheme, so Im thinking about getting one of those Crazy Nut Racing Heads for it they have a gorgeous purple one.

i was wondering if anyone out their has installed the new os.18tz tx on the evo's??? if you did would you recommended it or just get the one for the on road without the recoil starter. the regular tz(p) i think,... if you know of a thread please let me know that shows what mods needs to be done to get it to run.. not much experience in building motors.. so anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

You "can" put a .18 tz in an rs4 but there is no real easy way. You need custom mounts or just shim it allot and if you are off just a little you will strip your spur gears. I wouldn't recomend it beacause it has more power than you really need. You will have to beef up your whole drivetrain to run it also or you will just break parts. Just get the .18 cvrx side exhaust. It will drop right in without having to mod anything and if you gear it right it will be more than fast enough.

I use to like pull starts but than they started breaking on me so now I hate them. I recomend you spend the money and get yourself a starter box it is definitly worth the money.

This is my care before with the stock engine and pipe

Im using a Novak XXL FM Reciever, very small very light. As for hop ups I think I have them all. The only thing stock on my car is the bumber, body posts, and steering servo saver. Im still breaking in a OS .18CVRX. Im waiting for my screw kit to show up and my new heatsink head so I can post new pics.

I got the: Super Chassis, Graphite Upper Deck, Graphite Front and Rear Shock Towers, Threaded Aluminim Shocks, Aluminum Arms Front and Rear, Aluminum C Hubs, Aluminum Axle Carriers, Aluminum Hex Hubs, Aluminum Diff Cases, Sway Bars, Aluminum Steering Linkage, Titanium Turnbuckles, Primerless Race Tank, Front One Way, Front and Rear CVDs, Center CVDs, Titanium Brake Kit, Aluminum Fuel Tank Mount, Aluminum Roll Bar/Handle, Crazy Nut Racing Heatsink Head, THS Tuned Pipe, Futaba Digital Servos and etc.

I wanted to put together a car that I could show off at the track and still cut some good laps. If I wanted a racer I would get me 1/8th Scale Car. At my track there are too many guys who think that if you spend big bucks on a mugen or serpent kit and Novarossi or RB that you are guaranteed to win. I just like to have fun.
