my ntc3 has been tearing up spur gears ever since i installed my o.s. tz.18,and i know the mesh is right because i used the ol'paper test.it looks like the gear are actually trying to melt! do anyone know where i can get some metal gears?[sm=idea.gif]

and if you changed the gears some gear ratios dont work together and will chew up your gears pre maturly

Hmmm.... a challenge. I like challenges, but I don't think you would want to race for pinks. It is not my car that is the fastest, it is my driving skills which makes it the fastest.

What is the difference between the ntc3 kit #2031 and the #2035 kit? I want another ntc3 but I don't want to pay extra for the #2035 kit if it is the same as the #2031 kit.

They are realitively the same kit just depends on the motor u have because one kit is rear exhaust and has nonpull start engine mounts and the other is side exhaust and has pull start engine mounts that is the only diffrence.

One thing to remember is that the adjustments you make to the carb aren't instant. there is a little lag between changing a setting and seeing/hearing the results.
Have about 3 plugs ready, you will go through them; if not you may be doing it wrong.

The engine usually is preset to the factory settings, but it is good to test the settings anyways. I always set the settings on a new engine before I try to start it because the engine will not always be set for you when you buy it.
