Default RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread

LRP Electronics jumped into the Nitro engine field early this year (late last year?) and AE is offering some of the engines on their site. I haven't looked to see which ones they offer as LRP has a "club racer" .12 and a Team "racing" engine as well as .15, .18, .21 and .28. There's even a .16. Which I've never seen before.

I've not really seen anyone comment on the engines good or bad so far. They've seen some touring car action in Europe.

For the price I'd stick to a known commodity of the racer breed engine. You can get proven performers at the $180-200 range.

whats up guys i am new here i just bought a ntc3 used with novarossi 12s engine i need to know if anybody know the facctory needle setting for this engine.?
does anybody knows of a forum that has a ntc3 forum i know this is the official nitro tc3 page but it really is hard to search for something is there a ntc3 forum>?
why AE doent have one we all should drop them an email and let them know that theres alot of ntc3 users and that we need a place where we can share information with other users.
is making a web page and forum really that hard.?
has anybody made a webpage we need someone to make a forum for ntc3s only or in categories like ntc3s, 4tecs, ect individual page for each one.

I have an all titanium, hardcore ntc3. Man is that thing a rocket hard to control. I put it through it's paces on a dirt oval with a late model wedge body. It needs a better engine it still has the AE .12 in it. Anyone else dirtrack their ntc3?

is there a fix for the steering when i move one of the front tires i see
alot of slop in the turnbucles the whole thing just rock to the sides all the way ot the servo arm.?
would this make the car more uncontrolable at high speeds.?

Grab your wheel and try to wiggle it. If that is where you are saying the slop is you need to put new bearings in the wheel.

If you truely mean the turnbuckles I'll need further explaination.

Getting a lot of chassis vibration, and air in the fuel lines because of it (near the end of the tank) any solves out there? Tank is air tite, and rubber O rings are cushioning the tank as well.

hey proud TC3 owners - from what i read here - this car is woth its money. I kind of quit helicopters- too expensive and eats alot of fuel too ( 90)" anyways i always like cars and i think im going to buy TC3 RTR PLUS
Question #1 - how is the engine that comes with the car?
#2- can i upgrade it to O.S 15CV-X w/Recoil?
#3- its good for me as to begginer- what if i decide to move up- what r its upgrading capabilities?
#4- Speed - if more than 40 Mph then ok

Engine that comes with the car is OK for a RTR. The .15 CV will fit, but Id look at the CV-R for more power and speed. I just got mine as well, but I been into cars for quite some time. Hitting 40 stock is easy, according to RC Nitro (Oct 2004) Out of the box the plus will do 45 stock, and 47 with the carb restrictor out. I was un-impressed with the acceleration with the restrictor in but top end was good. Still need to test and re-tune with it out though. Im dropping a .18TM out of my Revo in the car in the spring That should give more power than I know what to do with. If you want insane power, look at the .12TZ from OS. As far as upgrades go, possibilities are endless. You can upgrade every part on the car to something better (carbon parts, thicker aluminum chassis, threaded aluminum shocks, wheels, tires etc. And theres 1,000s of bodys out there so if you have a dream car, you can drive it for once!
