I used jaco blue sedan foams on dusty, pebbly conditions and they held up and gripped ok. I would try the x-patterns first though. If you have enough money, do like I did and get both. I now run the x's most the time.

I have Venom Super Grip tires and , unless my setup is wrong, the don't hold very good.

Dont use the yellow inserts if your useing hpi belted pro compound x-patts.. It's Like driving on wet pavement.(brand new ones) My bald x-patts gets better traction with the factory foams.

Im taking the hard insert's out of my new ones and putting the factory foams in then i will see if i like hpi x-patts, other wise i will go to foam tires.

Doesnt hurt for 7.99 but looks like one of those get what you pay for deals! As in no traction and or wont last.

Go with the x-patterns with the inserts that come with them. I've been cranking my new set and they show little wear after 20 tanks. You have to get your camber and toe set good though so they wear even. I hear the tires around the turns and I'm surprised they aren't worn more than they are.

Hi

The HPI D compound tires, arn't they temperature tires. The hotter the track gets the better they grip.

actually u can find foams for around 14-20 dollars if u consider that cheap. Hard compound foams last but there traction on bumpy and uneven surfaces are ehh soso best used for smooth tracklike conditions.

if you're just bashing... dont get foams, too much work to clean all the foam junk off. x patterns are some of the best. last forever unless you like doin doughnuts in which case, i put a set bald in 10 tanks. i was using a set of venom hyper grips for the front, xpats for the back and it seems to work well.

The venom super grips are terrible, venom hyper grip a little better, the hpi X-pattern non belted are about the same as the venom hyper grip. The best tire I have tried and seen other people use in parking lots, racing tracks and drag strips was the HPI X-pattern belted tire.

The venoms last forever but they have little traction. You really have to alter your setup to get the most out of them. They like alot of negative camber.

haha doesnt much matter what kinda tires i use with a rwd its like running a car with a front one way that was installed backwards...frickin cant go full speed cuz any adjustment to the straight ahead course sends it spinning.
