ah sorry i wasn't very specific was i, i'll just be messin about in parking lots, so would you say the traxxas 4-tec is best there because i don't really want to spend more on top of that price for radio gear

Personally, I'd go with a shaft drive. They are much more forgiving when it comes to pebbles and other debris you'll find on the streets and in parking lots. HPI also has the nitro rs4 RTR 3 evo - so nothing else to buy except fuel, bottle and hot plug
Honestly, I have a hard time finding parking lots that I can run my 4-Tec at WOT. I've tried going up to the local mall after it's closed, but the rent-a-cop nazis keep chasing me off.

I wouldnt even consider the Nitro 4 Tec. It is just so outdated the manual is in Hieroglyphs.
Either the TC3 or the RS4 are excellant cars for the money. I prefer the RS4.
About the radio gear, you will soon hate the am stuff and you will buy a real radio later anyway.

I asked that same question at all the hobby shops, and finally decided on the NTC3. The guy said, "Well, just look behind me..." The whole wall behind him was replacement and upgrade parts for Nitro cars. 1/4 of the wall was Traxxas, about 1/3 of the remaining section was HPI, and the whole rest of the wall was Team Associated. It comes down to the fact that if you're racing for the first time and you break something (which you will) it'll probably be easier to get NTC3 parts than anything else.

ok thanks for the help guys, well i've decided to get the RTR Nitro RS4 3 Evo , because the other ones are a little over my price range, because my dads putting £towards a new car, and it will take me a while to save another £100 plus i havent had a nitro on road car before, may be good too get one not as fast
Just one question though, and im done lol
i have a t-maxx 2.5, will the RTR Nitro RS4 3 Evo, totally kick it's Glutius Maximus (SP?) for acceleration?
Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated, maybe one of the better cars for X-mas

oh right yeh, yeh i love off-roading, i was just wondering because the t-maxx is supposed to go 40, and HPI say the Nitro RS4 3 Evo does 43, so i was just wondering what the difference in acceleration is.
