Default Hot RTRs

Here are a couple of hot RTRs by Ofna.
[link=http://www.ofna.com/gpx4.html]Hyper GPX4 RTR[/link] $379

The GPX4 comes with a centax adjustable racing clutch. What do you guys think?

How are they rip offs? Especially the GPX4. Have you owned one?

The gpx4 looks like one of their buggys with touring car wheels on it. I mean a stand up steering servo. That so last century. OFNA should stick with making buggies.

It does not look like one of their buggies with touring car wheels on it. How are you going to knock the GPX4 just because of one servo? Every car has at least one flaw. Besides, the car has features that most RTRs don't even have.

Which one is better for racing? The [link=http://www.ofna.com/gpx4.html]Ofna GPX4[/link] or the [link=http://www.ofna.com/cd3prortr.html]Ofna CD3 Pro RTR[/link]?

Well... I am on a budget. I am trying to find a nice, very adjustable nitro for racing. I am not going to spend $600-$800 like everyone else. I would buy a kit, but adding radio equipment and an engine costs to much.

GPX4 looks like it would be better for racing, but the CD3 comes with a starter box.

Haven't you got an NTC3? Why not just race it, it's probobly a better racer than both of the Ofna's.

Yes, I do have a NTC3, but I am ready for the next level. I have had my NTC3 for about 2 years now. I want a car that I can adjust to my preferences. I was planning on working on [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3439728/anchors_3441684/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm]my NTC3 project[/link], but I realized that the price for it is ridiculous. In order for my NTC3 to be how I want it, it will cost as much or more than buying another car. I would really like a pro kit, but you have to buy an engine and radio equipment... way out of my budget. Any suggestions of another car?

Those are the two most important things to have! LOL

Even if you cant afford a real racing engine you will need an FM radio at least. Unfortunatly without a race spec engine it will be hard to be competitive.

I have taken this into consideration... and, I guess I will get a pro kit. What kits do you consider? Price range no more than high 300's.
