tamiya ferrari f430 tns rtr
anyone own or know anything about the new 1/10 tamiya ferrari f430 tns rtr. there are no user reviews posted yet. it sells for for about $340.00. the specs on it reveal it has a single speed transmission with a optional 2-speed set-up for about $46. most rtr's in that price range already have 2-speed tranny's.

If you are a beginner and interested in starting in R/C, that car is a good buy. The car is ease of use and pretty reliable. Tamiya is a world leading brand in R/C toys and have been around for decades. When buying their products, you know you are getting decent quality.
If your only bashing the car around a street or with friends and not racing, then this car will be good. Personally...I dont think you need a 2-speed (unless you are a speed freak). But with the engine thats in it already, you dont need a 2 speed tranny for it.
Its all about having fun with it, not speed.
