Default Nitro Scent Additive

I saw the stangest thing today in my LHS, Nitro Scent additive...All I have to ask is why?
Personally I don't want my car to smell like strawberries, Grapes, or Pina Colada...but I still Have to ask why would someone do that to their car or truck??? and moreover would you not lose performance?

to some people the smell hurts, the fumes can really screw with you if you are working on it and you are close to the car, with the scent it doesnt bother them as much

I know exactly what you mean. But, think, the scent is just hiding what is really in the air. I like the smell of nitro in the morning.
