Serpent horror smash
Oh Man,,, after reading about some of your big smashes I just have to tell you of mine today.
What a start to the new year,,, has to get better,,,,
First run of my 710 after rebuilding a car I brought off EBay and all was goind well then right hand side of my front one way stopped driving so car was pulling to the right big time under acceleration, having a good time though and the guys were all pumped after not racing for a couple of weeks so on we went.
Down to two cars at the end of the day and going hard when car lost traction down the straight and then kicked and full side ways right into a 4x4 wooden bollard right where we were standing.[:@]
Sickening sound and then silence.
Radio deck smashed, one way trashed, front R upper arm snapped, rear R lower snapped, servo saver flopping about, front R tyre smashed/torn and that is just a quick look as putting into car to take home.
Girl friend even said she was sorry for me and she hates my cars.
Not to worry,,, I shall rebuild.
Car goes like a cut snake though,,,, very impressed,,, enough not to be too dismayed by my (biggest) prang.
Brad

RE: Serpent horror smash
Some of the damage,
got some spares with the car when I brought it so repair bill will be not too huge.
Will repair radio tray lugs with carbon fiber.
Still dont know if reciever is cracked. Front diff locating ring can be seen too.

RE: Serpent horror smash
Stripped car to find more broken stuff,
right front shock rod snapped, right front lower W/bone 1/2 cracked through, upper W/bone pivot rod bent and right drive dog from front one way needs replacing because it is not even the right one!!! Guy who sold me car has done a bodgy job fix and put a rear outer in place of one he has obviously lost or broken. That is why one way was not working properly in the first place. Seems I should have totally rebuilt car after i got it second hand.
Good fortune does shine through though,,, it seems that the front right CVD is straight and works fine.
Man I am going to put some thing in front of that stupid post next time and car will be tracking straight too!!
