Quick question. I'm looking for some on-road 1/8 foam tires and looking at the Towerhobbies website they list several for the Jaco Serpent. All for front ones for example seem to have the same width and diameter but they differ in degree. There's 30 degree ones, 35 degree ones, 38 and 40 degree ones. What the heck do the degrees refer to? The only thing I can think of is that maybe the edges of the tires are not totally square (i.e. the sidewall is not 90 degrees to the bottom of the tire) but are beveled. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery?

Just to shed a little light on the above comment. The lower the shore rating the softer the foam. Softer will wear quicker but generate better straight line grip. In the corners you will need to find a balance as the softest tend not to have as much grip as a medium shore. soft tires have a greater tendancy for the lip to deform when under lateral G's. Hmm that last sentence didn't make too much sense to me. Best thing to do is talk to fast guys at your track and find out what they run on.
