Default Quick NTC3 question

I currently have a NTC3 Plus RTR and im still trying to break in the engine. I noticed there is a carb restrictor? What is it there for? Is it indeed a carb restictor? Can it be removed? Why was it put there? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yup it restricts the airflow. It's there for a reason tho. You can remove it, would need to richen the highend if you do. You'll get a bit more power but it's gonna kill your engine quicker.
