RC 2-Speed transmission problem?
I purchased an RC nitro car from www.trendtimes.com. The add states its a "Nitro RC Car 2 Speed Buggy 1/10 Scale" with SMT15CXO engine.
First, I'm trying to determine the manufacturer of this product . As best I can tell its from searching the WEB this is a "Smartech" product. I emailed trendtimes but so far they've been un-responsive. Can anyone verify this is a Smartech product?
Second, the car starts fine and engine revs up when throttle is pressed, however it just barely creeps along. It seems like something is slipping in the 2 speed transmission. When holding all four wheels stationary I can move the transmission gears in either direction with little effort. From looking at the manual, it seems there is a one-way bearing in there and I don't think is should move that easily in both directions. Comments?
If this is a Smartech product, where can I get parts?
Thanks in advance!

RE: RC 2-Speed transmission problem?
Engine is fine.
I can turn the gears both ways and neither one moves the car. One direction seems to be a little tougher to turn but then gives and slips.
Thanks
