Default Great Planes Glow starter

does anybody have this glow starter.. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJ800&P=7
if you do.. does the light on the charger go off when the charge is complete?

My buddy has that. As long as it is plugged in with a good connection to the glow plug starter, the light stays on. Even after charged, it stays on. It only goes off when the connection is bad (a cruddy tip on the glow plug starter sometimes doesn't make a clean connection with the charger). In that case, the light would be off.

So, don't overcharge the starter waiting for the light to go off, because it stays on.

can that model, even thought it has the rechargeable, can you put a regular C battery in it?

i believe the type of chargeable in it is a C

they use sub-c cell batteries which are smaller than a normal c cell
