Centax clutch??
Hey guys Will this work:
Will this clutch kit work in this
O.S. 18TZ Turbo w/Rotary Carb
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHLW1&P=0
with this
HPI Nitro RS4 3 Centax (Center Force) Clutch Set
http://www.carttonic.com/catalog/ind...21,11322,12157
....This kit only fits engines with an SG shaft. You must also use Hot Bodies 61140 engine mounts.
Has anyone ever done this?? Or even tried
Thanks for the help

RE: Centax clutch??
If you are putting that in a RS4 make sure you use hardened parts everywhere possible, and if possible use cvd's and center universal shafts to. I have just put one in my rs4 and its rediculously quick, i had to the adjustable mounts from Wolfpack radicals to get the engine to fit, i didnt try the HB OS ones but i think the wolfpack ones will be a better bet. RE: Centax clutch??
Well i guess it won't work.
I have also hardened everything in the drivetrain. I have basically changed everything on the car
oh well
I guess i will stay with the HPI upgraded clutch.
any suggestions??

RE: Centax clutch??
Your not out of luck. But I'm NOT 100% sure this will work. I have that hot bodies clutch on my rs4. But I'm using the clutch bell from the R40. Hpi makes a part for the R40 that allows you to use a standard shaft engine with a centax clutch. [link=http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/instr/r40/R40-P35o.jpg]it shows it here[/link] It's part #87093, you WILL need to use the R40's clutch bell because it uses a bigger rear bearing than the hot bodies clutch bell. I have an SG shaft, thats why I'm saying I'm not 100% sure it will work, but I think it will. Plus by using the clutch bell that goes to the R40 you have more gearing choices available to you. Good luck on your project, hope this helps you out some. If you have anymore questions just ask.

RE: Centax clutch??
unless the threaded shaft is too short then it should work... just u need to use different sized bearings in the rear of the clutch Might have to trim it down if its to long...but yea a SG shaft is way more solid then a converted threaded shaft...the Racing clutch that sum1 showed seems to be u best bet
