Default Have yall heard of these engines? Are they any good?

Fantom Racing .12 Nitro Engine Non Pull , SG - New 1011
Peak Diablo .12 nitro engine, NIB, SG shaft, #PEK6002

My 4-tec needs a new power plant. The stock is about shot. Im looking for something cheap and found these. But they look like cheap garbage to me. Anyone run these engines, or heard of them or read bout them.

They've competed in Nationals so I'd trust 'em.

Can I use the Fantom or the Peak engine in my HPI R40.. would this be a good starter engine? or should I just save up for a OS 12tz?

The OS .12tz will be easier to get parts, cheaper to repair, and overall faster than the fantoms. Fantoms sorta died out...popularity wise.

Since its a on-road car it should be a direct fit if you get the SG shaft and slide carb.

Regardless of it being onroad, it's bout the type of shaft the car can take. Not all cars will accept SG. Still go for the TZ. It's better than the fantom.
