Just wondering if anyone has seen this car and what is your opinion of his 108 mph claims. It is item #6034733661

its a scam, the super chargers add so little power, on one dyno test one added 0.1hp over stock. And that air intakes a joke

Yeah Josh thats what I was thinking. Its amazing how many people still think superchargers boost the power of a nitro engine. Im going to email the "winner" of the auction and see how they feel after they get the car, thats if it reaches his reserve price of $800

It might hit 108 thrown from a cliff. I don't think you can get the gearing set up to hit 108.

Adding engine power does not make a car have a higher top speed. To hit 108. it'd need sick power and some very very interesting gears.

It probably is slower off the line than a stock version.

dont fall for things that just attract ppl with a big mph number, its prolly not true and who the hell would spend thousands of custom parts to get it to that speed and sell it? dumb idea...

I think this guy has the right idea... i mean it makes me want to go and zip tie a ballon to my exhaust and say it makes my car go 100+ lmao!

I mean come on... the guy has the "front air intake" hot glued to the bumper but with no opening in the body

I think this is just another one of those people that got into the hobbie to try and make money by building a custom car quick and trying to sell it as some expensive car. He probably didn't even break the engine in properly. And whoever is dumb enough to buy it will along side the seller not know how to care for the car and within a week will be screaming for a refund.

It's funny that there are people who still don't realize this is a hobbie, that has no turn around. We do it cause we LOVE it!

Late,

-Ryan

I saw the car. The guy that is selling it is asking $800.00 for it. I saw that he cut the frount out of his body for it. I did that and made forced induction without a blower. I have not ran it yet. When I do I will tell you how it ran.

I thought that to. But people say that a blower is good at adding power. I kind of beleave it but he should show a video of it.

the blowers add tiny amounts of power. that blower is 175usd and will add about .1hp

I have a question. Where can you get a blower for nitro cars. My dad wants one and he needs to know where to get one.

If you know tell me please.

well, it could be possible, cuz dat TRX can handle about 50,000 rpms, and if he has all the hop-up parts from Traxxas, and a crazy gearing, it may do 108

a man named steve pond (writer for rcca mag) spent several grand on his super nitro to do 103mph and it involed a costom built novarossi .21 and hand made gearing and about 1000ft of space.. and a trx will not rev to 50k , high end itian race engiens don't even rev that high

How much power did the engine make. Also, how many RPM dose it turn. That is a .21 and a TRX is a 2.5. [8D]

i am not sure about the power and rpm but its hell of a lot more than a trx which is a .15 not a .25 ... 2.5cc is .15ci

you can't buy the engine he used and he did this a few years ago and the new 21 race engines have been known to make 3hp and rev over 40, 000. also it won't fit into a 4tec with out mods and it won't handle the power with out serious work

you can not use an engine like those. it will not fit in year car. the case is to big and it has a different crankshaft. Also it is just to much power for your car. if you want easy power look into a os 18tz. it will bolt on to your car and packs some good power
