WOW!, how good is my V-One RRR Evo WC Team, is all I can say. I'm not through breakin of my picco yet and already I know this thing is awesome. It is just planted on the track. Cant wait to give it a proper tune and really see what it can do. Look out Mugens and TM's at my club, I'm coming to get ya[>:]

For me the RRR EVO wc is the best 1:10 on road chasis out there. I had the previous evo version (not the wc) with the sirio EVO 3 on it. I'd suggest you to get the new siro EVO 4! Simply no other .12 engine revs higher than that!

Funny you say that GYNAIKAS, my LHS has a shipment of evo 4's coming in, and at a pretty good price apparently, may check them out when they get in, I think this car deserves the best, it is just awesome, plain and simple.

May I ask why kyosho placed a solid diff in front instead of the gear diff? Does the solid diff provide better traction or is it just a cost savings factor? I would imagine the solid diff would provide a bad turning radius because the inside wheel is spinning the same speed as the outside wheel.

Is there an alternative that is recommended like a gear diff like the rear or the one way? Thanks

Actually a solid front diff is better for cornering cause it stabilizes the front end of the car while entering and exiting a corner. A "soft" front differential usually causes the outer wheel to spin more than you actually needs and cause oversteer.

I mean actual stores I visited while in Hong Kong. A couple of them do sell over the internet though:

[link=http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/]http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/[/link]

[link=http://www.rc-mushroom.com/]http://www.rc-mushroom.com/[/link] This one is more of a warehouse, but still sell to the public. (first photo)

There is one street in Mong Kok with about 15 stores in the vicinity. I must say my wife was quite bored on this street Here's some photo's I took of the stores, very small but very well stocked

Thank you Gynaikas for the information about the solid diff! Much appreciated.

The FW-06 is back up and running after buying parts from www.kyoshoamerica.com. My buddy at work purchased an Inferno GT and after breaking it in for a few days, we went bashing today. I can say from experience that the FW06 is a quick and nimble car. We ran stock everything so it was performance comparison straight out of the box.

We did mostly wide open throttle runs to see how fast they were. Yes, granted the FW06 is a 1/10 scale vs a 1/6 or 1/7 scale car but I am impressed. The FW06 was either keeping up at the start or slowly pulled away after second gear kicked in. Just thought everyone would like to know how they compare. It was just fun to bash around.

Ok everyone I need some advice, just got back from running some test laps at my track, and my RRR seems to initially push through the corner (understeer). I am running 37 shore front and rear tyres, which is basically what everyone runs at our track, with the standard kit springs. What adjustments should I make to change the handling of the car? I took a couple of stills of it attached, along with my 1/10 electric tourer (blue & white).

So I guess you nees to reduce understeer right? So when does understeer come? While entering the corner? While exiting? Generally understeer is reduced by adjusting properly the steering rate, the ackerman angle, softening the front sway bar and adjusting the front camber properly. Or softening the front diff a bit but that has to be tuned according to the ackerman angle you use.

As you know my current car is an RS4 18ss. Compared to FW, it's faster but the FW corners better. When both modified they tend to become equal. The sure thing is that both make faster laps than the IGT but the IGT is better for bashing.

It tends to understeer coming into the corner, and at the moment a spool is installed in the front end, not the diff. I guess I will need to experiment a bit to get it how I want

Oh you mean that you use a solid front axel insted of differential! In that case it's on to have a bit more understeer cause there are other more important benefits out of it! I'd say try to stiffen the rear sway bar a little bit...and see wht happens

Mate, it is even better than that, the 15 or so are literally within 100 metres of each other, not all are ground, some for aircraft/heli's, but it is awesome, believe me

this may be an obvious question but, to change the shift point of the 2 speed, what adjustment does what? Loosening screws will cause a sooner change or later change? Thanks again guys, this forum is very helpful

Loosening makes 2nd gear to engage sooner, tightening -> later.

Gynaikas. Would that be for both screws on the clutch or just one? I would image it be both screws but the Kyosho instructions just says one. Thanks for the knowledge.

I think the one screw is for securing the gearbox on the axel and the other one is for the adjustment. Could you please post a pic of the manual (just to be 100% sure) ?

I check the manual again and read it thoroughly and I found the answer to my questions. It says in the side bar that both screws have to be adjusted equally. Quoting the manual "Adjust the shift timing by both sides of 2.6 X 10mm cap screws equally."

Thanks again Gynaikas for the speedy response.
