Gearing for an rs4 with a .18 cvrx
I finally got my new engine broken in and tuned and this thing rips. Acceleration is rediculous and I will be changing my gearing. I was wondering what gearing would be best for this engine. I have an rs4 with the two speed. Just want it to be more controlable under acceleration. Currently I have the stock gearing. Thanx!

I'm goign to purchase the os .18 cvrx too soon! For now I went with a top speed setup with 39/43 gears instead of the 43/47 gears. Talk to hpi apollo, he is very knowlegdable.

RE: Gearing for an rs4 with a .18 cvrx
Do you guys with .18's have driveline breakage issues? I have an Epic .18 in my car which I love, but it seems like every couple times I take my rs4 3 ss out, I snap a driveshaft or dogbone. Is there a solution, or am I just doomed cause the car isn't designed for that kind of power? Right now my car has the stock gearing, but I just ordered some new spurs and pinions to widen my gear ratio so I'll have 19/45 for 1st gear and 23/41 for 2nd.
