Default Made the mistake of lettign a friend drive

Hey all,

Yesterday, like the title says, i let my friend drive my car. Of course him driving a car for the first time, he ran it into a curb. Luckly nothing that serious happened, as in nothing broke, but i noticed that my centerdrive shaft has a slight bend in it. I was wondering if i should buy i new drive shaft or if it matters to keep the one i have now. Its not that bent, it doenst scrap anything or hit anything, but it scares me. ALso its a nitro TC3 and is bone stock.

Thanks,
Keith

A slightly bent shaft wouldnt hurt anything but if the chassis is also bent, you will have severe handling problems. I can see how you were trying to be a good friend buy letting your buddy drive, but letting a first time rcer at the wheel was a BIG mistake.[&:]

Some of my friends got mad at me in the past because i wouldnt let them drive my cars. Think about it, shumacher car will do 60mph in under 3 secs and the serpent will reach 70mph in under 2.5 secs, why would I let some noob to RC drive one of those cars[&:] I think I even lost a few friends because of this, but if somethin happens to those cars, no1 is goin to offer any help for the repair bill.[&o]

I keep a couple of older electric beaters goings for this purpose. If a friend wants to try one of my nitros, I set them up with an electric to see how they do with those first.

i have an expensive transmitter, and whenever my friends want to try out my truck (yes its 1/18 but its got a brushless system and once a crash took out the chassis) i just flip it to a 'model memory' with like the throttle at 60% epa or something , and full brake.... they dont seem to notice the difference, when i rebuild my truck i'll try like 20% epa and see if they complain , also i'll tape over all the buttons on the tx....

I see what you mean, but the noobs to RC, dont have a chance to drive none of my stuff. Nitro is very expensive just to keep it up and running, so unnesscesary repair bills is the last thing I need to worry about.

Yeah, I made that same mistake as well, letting a friend drive. [:@]
He got all sand through my car, took me ages to clean - had to strip everything back. ehhh [>:]
Now I think twice about everything I lend to people as well as everything I do.
