RE: First car question
the 4tec is a great car, but with the 3.3... that was just a bad idea by traxxas, too powerful for the car. no control. id go with an hpi rs4 or an associated ntc3

RE: First car question
hpi's is about 45ish out of the box, ntc3 is a little faster. with a few hopups they can go faster such as taller gearing, a 2 speed and a tuned pipe. even a cheap not stock engine can add speed. dont expect high speeds from an out of the box rtr unless you're looking at a CEN which i personally dont recomend. and the 4tec 3.3 which sacrifices handling and other things for speed.

RE: First car question
well i do recommend the CEN CT5. Its got 2 drivetrain included into the box, one for top speed and one for track. Perfect for 1st timer
