Default rdlogics mongoose

ive made my ntc3 a dedicated rally car and looking for competitive project car i can tryout at the track. searching, the only car that really caught my eye and stood out was the team magic g4.i was looking around and saw the rdlogics mongoose for cheaper..

dose the mongoose suffer from the same steering/belt rubbing problem as the g4?

how does it stack up with the new '06 team magic g4s?

can it keep up with mugen/serpent/kyosho cars[particularly the mtx-4]?

any machining/part fitting issues?

any weakness'?

thanks

One of my friends had an RD Login Mongoose and he says that car totally rocks. He got out of RC for awhile and sold his Mongoose, but he is getting back in and I think he will try to get another Mongoose.

The weakness typical of all on-road cars are the same for the Mongoose. Simply put, don't crash! (I wish I could say more about Mongoose, but I never really had one).

As far as keeping up with Mugens, my friend has a MTX-4 now and he says the Mongoose will keep up with his Mugen with the right engine and the proper driving skills.

Mongoose and G4 Evo is the same car.
If starting out Mongoose is a good car and can be upgraded to the spec of the G4s which is the latest version that is getting a lot of attention.
UK champ and European champ both run the G4s.
If going to run the Mongoose and possibility of upgrading later on ,it would be a good choice how ever it will work out quiet a bit more expensive than just buying the G4s ,which you can pick up around the $380 mark.
Id suggest going for the G4s if cosidering racing competitively ,if messing about Mongoose will be fine.

The G4S has a revised layout of the servos and battery for better balance as well as bell crank steering system that replaces the slide steering system.Overall improvement is balance and quality of plastic used which makes it more durable.
