Default rs4 3 chassis

i have an hpi rs4 3 and i was thinking of getting the super chassis. the only douts i have is that the new chassis has holes in it and i am concerned that stuff might kick up and make a leak in the gas tank, or damage/score up my servos and other things like that. the stock chassis is completely covered on the bottom but is T6 6061 aluminum (thats what i have now) i drive on smooth asphault and race tracks but there are always little pebles here and there. what should i do? right now i am siding tward the super chassis.

i got the super chassis, the fuel tank or servos havent been scratched or anything...yet. and i ran iton my street so i guarantee it was full of pepbles and stuff. it should be alright. the only danger of a peble coming up is when your turing and the wheel is pointing to the center of teh chassis

a little pebble wont do anything to your gas tank, if you hit something big enough to flip the car the fuel tank is the last of your concerns, i run GPM's aluminum chassis http://cgi.ebay.com/GPM-Alloy-3MM-Ma...QQcmdZViewItem works fine

i never said or pretended i had the super chassis! i said i had the stock one. so i guess ill get the super chassis then. 1 other important question. on my car, i have aluminum a arms and hubs (i think its in my profile picture but its still very out of date) aluminum has less flex, its more durable and i think they respond and operate smother. plastic a arms and hubs (i dont have) are lighter. should i stay with my aluminum, go back to plastic, or a combination?

go with an aluminum/plastic combo.. save some weight and won't break other parts. Like use plastic arms with a alloy bulkhead or knuckles thats what I did with my 18ss. Plastic is a lot more forgiving.

carbon graphite is alot stiffer for less slop, they look nearly the same though

durable...i wouldnt think so since they are meant to be stiffer, and yes you should be able ot mount sway bars on them
