Tire Softner for Tires

Anybody ever use tire softener for there rubber tires??

I used to race an hpi super, which you couldn't get foams for , only rubber. I used zip free all the time, it definitely helped alot.

Its a traction inhibitor and a conditioner, which I imagine softens the tire. I just read the bottle and it does say it softens them.
