Default MRX3 Novarossi L5 Plug?

Hello, I just bought 3 MRX3's and was wondering which plugs to run. One of them has a novarossi L5. One has a RB V12. The last one has a Novarossi S5 12. Any input would be greatly appreciated. The novas have OS P3's in them now. Not sure which P3's they are (warm, hot, ultra hot). Thanks

i think you mean that you have an MTX3, not an MRX3...
i typically run "medium" plugs in my OS .12 TZ turbo engine, mostly collari turbo plugs...

yes thats what I meant....sorry for the typo. I just ordered a dozen hot and a dozen ultra hot turbo plugs for them. I will be running all cars with novarossi engines instead of the RB. Thanks for the info.

The P3 plug is ultra hot.

I would run hot or ultra hot, none of the novarossi's that I run run near as good on a medium or cold plug vs a hot plug.I also run 20% nitro.

oops. forgot to mention that the higher nitro % your fuel, the cooler plug you should ude. hot and ultra hot plugs are fine for 15-20% nitro. anything over 25% and you'd probably like medium to cool plugs. good luck!

What fuel percentage do you stick with? SOme plug ratings are different than others even though both will say "HOT". I run 30% and need to run slightly cooler plugs for best performance. I use Novarossi CTF7 or sometimes 8. In the cooler weather a hotter plug is helpful.

+1...
most maufacturers vary in their actual temperature classifications, i.e. an OS hot plug may run similar to a novarossi medium or a collari medium-hot, but they are much better indicators of plug performance WITHIN thier respective factories (i.e. a Collari hot plug temp is higher than their medium).

I use Byrons 30% with collari medium turbo plugs. it's rare that i have to go hotter.
