Engines: Lamberto Collari speced engines, modded novarossi 35plus21, JP Black fully modded edition, RB Concepts C6 modded, in other words, buy a nice high-performance engine and get it modded(preferably by RBMods/net). Modded engines are the best in my opinion.
As far as cars go, any kit from mugen, serpent, kyosho, and the 1/10th R-40 hara edition are the best way to go.

If you look to get a Serpent 720,
You may as well get a 710 instead and hop it up.
They are going dirt cheap at the moment.
IMO if you are prepared to dish out full whack for a 720 you may as well get the 835.

You can still buy them in England.

I don't know if he has a large amount of spare parts if you do break something. But They still sell the kit.

Sad to see you guys have left out the UK and European Champs ,TeamMagic G4s.
Great car and the best speced kit out of the box.
Check out Racedayhaobbies for a great deal on TeamMagic and Serpent cars.
For a serious engine I d look at the Mega Masmo ,simply awesome.
Raceday sell mega and NvaRossi engines too.

Depending on the car you go for ,you can search for setup sheets that can help you get a base setup for your car and track.

The 705 is a older chassis that is about 2-3 years old.It was updated and replaced by the 710 and and now has been replaced by the 720.
The car in the link is a bit steep for a non runner ,if it was with radio and starter box tehn I would say its a good buy.
Spares should still be available as it was a popular race car and a good easy car to setup.
I still have my one and use it as a loaner for guys wanting to try out racing before committing to new equipment.
