Default starting problem

I have a ntc3 with a .15x engine in it. When I pull the pull starter it turns over the engine but the starter rope does not recoil. I took it off the engine and when I spin the one-way bearing it turns over the engine either way you turn it. Do I need a new one-way bearing? If so where can I get one at?

Will the pull starter recoil when its not on the engine?????
If it does then i would say your one ways stuffed!!!!
If it doesn,t recoil then your pull start spring is either broken or slipped out of its mounting slot.
If it doesn,t recoil and you can turn the engine over in both directions by hand using the one way then id say there both stuffed [:@]

The pull starter(which is brand new) works fine when its not on the engine. The engine has ten tanks of gas threw it. I guess the one-way is "Stuffed". Anyway I can fix it? Or should I just get a new one?

I figured out the problem! Some how the one way was pressed onto the shaft. I pulled it off and reassembled everything and now it works fine.
