One isn't better than the other, it's comparing apples to oranges.

It just depends what you're looking for and whether you prefer scale realism and speed over being able to run anywhere and take jumps.

Heres something for you. These are speeds that will be out of the box Apr.

Savage= 31MPH
Tmaxx= 34 MPH
Revo= 37 MPH

Rs4= 48 MPH
NTC3= 52 MPH

Those are as the largest engines you can get in those models. 3.3, 18SS, ETC.

On Road IMO is so much more fun because off road's are always breaking because your beating them and they go sooo slow.

Think of it this way. You can run a MT offroad and onroad. You can only run an onroad on clean pavement. If you want versatility, go with something like a stadium truck. You can make them fast, and they still can go offroad and take little jumps. Or if you got some money, just get a few MTs and Onroads like me. That way, you can choose what you want to run! Plus, whats boring about getting 10+ feet of air with a savage or revo, doing a perfect backflip, and rolling away cleanly. Just as exciting as making a 55mph pass with my ntc3 IMO.

If your wanting speed I would suggest looking into an on-road cars because off-roads are for torque and bottom end, but if you want big jumps then go off-road. It's all a matter of preference.

yeah I have a car and a truck, The car is an HPI RS4-2 all stock with a .15FE, the truck is a Red Cat Racing Volcano SV which broke in 3 days! I diddnt even abuse it. I was doing the break in process and when the break in was over I was having a bit of fun when it through a left front drive shaft. Then I was going up a hill and is through the shaft to the back wheels. The truck has a .18 and the car only has a .15FE. The whole reason of asking what is better is so I know whick one I should spare so I could build up a ultimate RC of my own. I heard that a stock HPI RS4-2 with the stock .15FE star motor only goes at MAX 35mph. So I am looking at a CVX .18 and a 2-Speed tranny and see what she pulls. Thanks again for all your help. Anymore replies will be greatly appriciated!

Thanks,
HPI Porsche

well i hate to tell you this but the truck is a very cheap offbrand truck. should have went with somthing like ofna, kyosho, traxxas or somthing like that. And the most durable offroad rc you can get is a buggy, they can take alot and not have any problems at all.
