So I bought an HPI RS4-2 off ebay for $106.00 shipped to my house, is that good or bad? I get it monday so I dont know if it runs, but I am getting a CVX-18 and a 2 speed tranny for it. But overall is it good or bad? The guy bought it second hand and never drove it so he dont know anything about it or even if it works. Here it is:










What is that quest controller thing in this picture?















Here she is, with anew VX-18 enigine and the person who I bought it from never took the masking off the body after the paint, she shines now!

Wow! I'd say great deal! Complete Nitro, providing the engine is in decent running condition and chassis is in good condition man that's a good deal!

Well, The guy I have bought it from dont know if it runs or not, and I get it monday, but lke you said its in good shape and the motor dont look like it was abused so there is a great chance that it runs.

is there a high speed needle in it? or is it just way down in it there.

well, I get the RC tomorrow but, I am sure that the needle is there just down in near the motor is more since its an HPI.

not a bad deal. although i would recommend changing that air filter before you run it.

yeah Im giving major TLC by getting it a CVX-18 engine with a 2 speed tranny with a high performance air filter and a tuned pipe!

i have had mine for a while and its been a great car just wish u would have waited a few more weeks i would have sold u mine with a better controller,spindles,uprights,exhaust,belt tensioner and head plus mine has a 2 speed tranny for $150 and included a whole other motor with after market head and a starter kit that has gas bottle glow plug lighter and tool the both for another $45 and mine hardly has any gas through it at all! but good deal u will be pleased with the car.

yeah, I was going to put a 2-speed but its fast enough as it is with the VX-18, thanks for your offer anyway, I might still buy it if you still have it. I need to get used to mine. LOL sounds like a great deal. I did change the controller and the servoes out with futaba pistol grip. Thanks again.

That's a fair market price. The 2-speed, a header and a tuned pipe will really add some serious power and RPM to that motor.
