they are both pretty good, and very similar, its whatever you like more i guess, most people will probably say go with the NTC3 though

Yeah I've had an ntc3 for over a year no and no problems at all with it. Though I don't race I just drive it every now and then when I'm bored

no serious modding right now..gonna enter in the stock class at my nitro club for now. i have a rs4, but it will cost too much to bring it up to the amount of tunablilty that the kyosho has. what i wanted to kno is the which one is more tunable (suspension wise and so on), the ntc3 plus or the FW-05T plus?

Kyosho FW05T is by far the superior vehicle on the track. On the street, there's nothing to choose between them. They both need work and money to be competent racers.

No argument there. Kyosho parts are a bit if a nightmare...

But who knows.
To the OP: IMO, get whatever you can get most parts for. Its better to be able to stock up quickly than to wait weeks for replacement parts.
Where I live in Canada, Kyosho takes the cake. AE parts availabilty compared to Kyosho parts here are like comparing Acura NSX's and Honda Civics. Sure you see NSX's once in a while, but the Civic is everywhere...

I believe that out of the box FW-05T runs better on track. But I've seen modified RS4's killing even FW-RRs...so I dont think it's "the best shaft drive car when it comes to tunability" as SioXiE said.

well am entering in the stock class, seeing as im a novice driving. but even so, what are the big differences in tuneability between the fw 05t and the rs4. out of the box the fw comes with more accessories to adjust than the rs4. plus, any aftermarket parts that will up the rs4's tunablity can also be bought for the kyosho. so where is the great big advantage?

Stock class rules....hmmm...depends...usually only slick tyres are allowed and the car just as it comes out of the box. In that case FW is ideed the best choice. Try porting the engine..noone will notice...!

Titanium dogbones? Are you looking to lose weight or for strength? If you want to lose some quick weight of your FW I would put a lipo receiver pack/ regulator combo. You will save about 60 to 70gms from using a 1200mah nimh receiver pack. Otherwise titanium dog bones are super expensive if you can get them from kyosho. I think the only titanium dogbones available for kyosho are for the Vone RRR but I am not 100% on that.
good to see you had a great time racing , great results for your first up effort.
