CEN CT-5 vs Tamiya TNS
I was wondering what you guys think about these two onroad options. It would be my first nitro vehicle. Its mainly between these because I found a great deal on them that fits my budget. What are the pros-cons of either of them.

RE: CEN CT-5 vs Tamiya TNS
Tamiya's are useless. Sorry to say but they are cars suited for 5 year olds IMO. My first car was a Tamiya 1 speed, can't remember it's name but it struggled to push 25mph i swear. Hard to get hop ups also cos the cars are so basic and boring. Could I ask, what is your budget ?

RE: CEN CT-5 vs Tamiya TNS
A guy at the local track has a Tamiya nitro, not sure what model but he runs the stock motor and kicks everyones butt with it. He did upgrade to a 2-speed but given the size of the track it probably doesn't make much difference. I'm on a low budget at the moment. But I found a TNS on ebay for 190 or best offer, the CT-5 219 or best offer both NIB. As for parts availability, my local shop doesn't carry much for any type of onroad, even the ones they sell(RS4, TC3,traxxas). They pretty much only stock monster truck parts so either way I'll have to use the net to get parts. I've noticed that Tower is starting to carry the CEN CT-5.

tamiya, even though its very famous and all, their cars are horrible, and made of cheap material, they think they're still in the 80s and 90s with their cars, and they never make anything new to compete, so go with the CT-5

RE: CEN CT-5 vs Tamiya TNS
I was going to say that Tamiya isn't all bad. I have a TA05 electric and its an awsome handling car. The tin can motor kinda sucks but thats easily fixed. The TNS does have the adjustable aluminum shocks and lower deck unlike some of the others tamiya nitros.
Whos makes the GPX4? Do you think the CT-5 is still a better option at 219 or best offer?
