The only thing you can find is a Nascar body...I've not seen anything else.

If you look, there are 1:6 scale NASCAR licensed bodies on ebay. Type in 1:6 car, there are plenty around. Pricey tho...

or you can get oval cars at www.customworksrc.com they are super pricey, and their kits, so i would also recomend jut getting that proline body, which looks good too.

AE made the RC10DS back in the day that came with a Nascar body. They were nitro 2wd but probably very hard to find now.

Actually when I owned my RC10DS it was not hard to handle at all. I was running a Novarossi CX12 with pullstart in it. It was very fun, I wish I still had it. You have to remember it is basically a gt with on road tires and a car body so all the weight is balanced for good rear wheel traction. Although it was pretty slow because of the limited gearing you could do with them.

thats cool, i like the quality of the chassis, but i doubt theres any place that runs them. the .09 engine is interesting, and hard to find, besides the sirio.

The real life Nascar is boring as hell but the RC version is Awsome!! I am trying to find a decent size track in the UK. All the ones I have looked at are too big.

Cheers

I love oval racing with others, but has to be the most boring practice in the world. I live about 1 1/2-2 hrs from marshall rc park, and the paved oval there is a lot of fun. Might have to set up spare car for strictly oval for that track. Also in rockford il. there is a 1/4 scale oval with awsome banking that may start a 1/10 scale class if enough interest. The 1/4 scale cup cars are so cool, but costly. I hope oval does grow more, it's a blast working on clean lines and passing. I think mcallister may have some oval bodies, just google it. Lets hope for the best!

In real life I think oval racing is kind of boring, but I can't imagine how much fun it would be in R/C!! Imagine a huge 500-1000ft track with banked corners and a pit lane inside, and 20-30 cars going down the straigtaways at full speed. Imagine the crashes too! I wish someone started to make some 1/8 oval cars, it would be awesome. I wonder how the engines could be cooled though, running WOT the whole time would be pretty bad. Maybe use airplane engines with high oil content? Cool stuff, please post vids of your races if any of you participate! Tom.
