What is the LSN needle for?
I'm just wondering is the LSN needle for low rpm or low throttle position?
I tuned my car so it stays around 130 deg C but it's fairly sluggish
And off the line it moves off really slow when floored. Does this mean the LSN is too rich or the HSN is too rich?
It runs fairly consistantly though, doesn't stall or anything. When I pinch the fuel tube the rpm go up quite a bit
And it is really slow until it reaches around 115-120 deg C, and once it reaches it's 130 something deg C temperature it gets more power

LSN is for low rpm. If your car runs fine at high rpm and the engine screams then your LSN is the problem. In that case you should make it leaner a bit. But it's sensitive and sometimes even 1/8 of a turn makes difference so be cautius.

So throttle position makes no difference?
I can't seem to get the car running optimal AND keep temps at 130 deg C
I am running it in the evenings so it's about 25-27 deg C ambient temp

No. The LSN (low speed needle) controls the mixture while idle to midspeed. The HSN (hish speed needle) control the mixture from midspeed to high speed. If you lean the LSN, then you will notice that the acceleration is more powerfull than before BUT if you overdo it, the car will "bock" (stall, i don't know the word. It will say to you that is thirsty and need more fuel) so you will rich it a bit untill the acceleration is at its peak and don't have any problems with acceleration.

So at low speed, it can run lean safely without damage so long as it doesn't stall?
As opposed to high speed where it should run richer for more lubrication etc?

I just can't get the engine to run really well + stay at around 130 C
For it to stay at around 130 C it's clearly running pretty rich. Not to the point it stalls or anything but stilll...

RE: What is the LSN needle for?
What do you mean that is running rich at 130 celsious? Dude, if you really have a problem on tuning, just reset ALL the needles and try it again, slowly slowly. If you reset the needles the temp must drop at 60-80 celsious. If not, then something else is the problem and not the tuning

RE: What is the LSN needle for?
Maybe my temp meter is just really inaccurate? I use a Venom one that wraps around the heatsink
It's kind of hard to tune the LSN as the header is in the way, so I can only do it at home as I have to take off the throttle servo horn to get the the header screws to take that off and then adjust the LSN

That sucks. One more reason why you must buy a good car. I saw a robitronic mantis the last 3 months (offroad one) and the linkages are just too complicated. I don't know what the guys who design this, waas thinking while he was doing this. If you go to nitro hobbies (LHS) ask for the HPI temp meter. I have it and some frineds of mine and we are happy with it. Is small and you can put it in your pocket
