common problem with rs4's from what I have seen...dont have any personal experience with them, but check your drive cups for any major signs of wear..

That's not normal to happen. Is the cup loose or something? Can you post any pics please?

Well, i had such problems with my Kyosho Alpha, but this is a RS4, it can't be like this. Check the screws of the wheel hub (the plastic that hols the wheel and is screwing in the upper and lower arm). My english are terrible i tell you

Osirisf16 I never realized your english is so poignent lol ... I got the rs4 thru a trade here on rcu and bought several other rcs at the same time as well as other trades and never got the time to repair ... the thing runs great ... I have a buyer and a trade either or that I would like to make although the dogbone falls out ... things are in great shape otherwise ... Its going to be next week till I have the time to repair and then really its going to be hard to get time to unless its a quick fix (I would start I just dont need more rcs tore apart for repairs) ... I guess what I want to make sure is should I discount the rs4 or not ... unless I find time to repair myself ...

It actually is a know problem with the RS4's, although it's a more common problem with the super nitro rally, but it still happens to the rest of the family of RS4's. My RS4 3 kept doing it too. There are a couple fixes, one is to run CVD's or universal joints up front. Or you can run these cup joints [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVJ90&P=SM]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVJ90&P=SM[/link] These drive cups are a bit longer than the stock ones, thus preventing the dogbone from poping out. Read the tech section on that tower hobby link, HPI even recomends them to fix that problem. I run them and have never had a problem since.
Hope that helps some.

Or use on small piece of foam material in each cup in order to keep the dogbone away from the sides. This ALWAYS works and costs nothing!

I'd suggest the small piece of foam because it holds the dogbone it's too soft to cause any additional stress at high rpm levels...
