What BB motor will fit in a RS4 3? I have one laying around and might be interested in putting a BB in it.

What is required to install a BB motor on a 1/10 car?

Good stuff Brent. I'm currently saving bit by bit so that I can get a car and necessary items to start a 'Nasty 1/10 Scale' project. I anxiously await the pics and vids .

I wonder if that would do a direct drop or would I need special motor mounts.

well, I do have a video of some sort but not what I wanted since the 35Plus21 drag race modified, the block is cut down and no cooling head for prolonged periods of running the engine. I do have a Kangaroo that is a street cut with a full head and uncut block that will go on today......lol. I'll re-do the video with the street version engine Kangaroo on it then. Here's a few pics of the Carbon fiber chassis that I made and if you know anything about the CD3 cars, both driveshafts that go from the transmission to each differential are the same length. I moved the engine more forward so that the header would clear the Kawahara tires and bigger if I wanted to put them on. Moving the engine forward required me to get two new driveshafts made......one much shorter than stock and one much longer than stock. Doing this also required me to use a much smaller X-ray 1/16 scale fuel tank so run time is alot less BUT I can modify and use the stock CD3 fuel tank if need be. All in all this car was designed for street drag race use anyways so the smaller tank is what I needed.

The receiver isn't mounted yet either as I am just having fun with the car and will mount it later on.

nitrohead, it isn't as quick as it was because I had a 15/19 Clutchbell on it before but it was blazing the tires off so bad without any traction aid that I had to put a 18/24 on it for now. In the video it takes off sluggish from the hit. Imma get the Kangaroo on it with the 15/19 CB and show that one. Where's your street car that had the .18 TZ on it? That thing was nice man.

Brent, as usual, SUPERB work. You have succeded in creating another guided missile. I'm sure that it'll be a BEAST when you're done with it .

Thanks Brent, I still have the V1RRR with the .18TZ in it it is a well balanced car . Just too small and too fast for me now. What gets me about your cars is not only are they fast but handle quite well too. With the planned modfications to your car it will be just a blur on video.

Thanks man. If you had one of these little cars with a .21 in it, you'd see what I have been talking about. This thing needs room to run and can be a rocket if you aint careful.

nitrohead, I know what you mean about the too small of a car thing. My son said to me that dad, I can't see the car once you leave from me....lol. I have already prepped my Kangaroo for the on-road install and will put it in tomorrow.

BTW, look at my Savage that I took a video of today too. It has a nasty Modified Picco P3 in it and will wheelie until I let completely off the throttle.

Brent have you heard anything about that new OZ .19 motor?? Is it any good? Watching your 1/10 scale car makes me want to do some experimenting with my V1RRR.

nitrohead, man I wouldn't pay that much for that .19 engine when the .18 TZ makes virtually the same power for $160......lol. I am sure that they made the .19 for class specific truck racing with a better rod than the .18 TZ but for $469.......for what? What do you have in mind for the V1RRR? What scares me about the belt driven cars for the 1/10 scales is the smaller belt will break. I've seen it already from the torque that the .21 puts out. Look at the 1/8 scale cars that are designed to use a .21 anyways, they use a wider belt and rarely break at all unless a rock pebble gets in between the teeth and strips it. That is the ONLY reason I never did a belt driven car to use a .21 in it.

You might be right about belt durability. I have a R-40 that I put my Modified RB .21 in and the belt has held up I ran it several times before I put it up and started playing with my 1/5 scale MCD. The motor was modded by RB but it is not one of his Extreme mods like you get With my V1rrr I am going to have to do some cutting to put a .21 in that is why I was looking at the OS .19 should drop in without any cutting. It is suppose to be putting out double the power of a stock .18 TZ OS claims 2.3 hp compared to 1.6-1.8 hp for the .18 TZ.

from the OS website, the .19 is showing 2.4 HP @34,000 RPM's

http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2035.html

The .18 TZ is at 2.28 HP @30,500 RPM's from an indpendent RC test that is right off of OS Engines website

http://www.osengines.com/reviews/osm...st-rcnitro.pdf

Mod that .18 TZ, pray and hope the rod lives through it and hang on. I am sure the .19 would run very well with mods too but power to $$ ratio, the .18 TZ would run right with it.

Get one of them .19 engines and tell us what it does man.

Thats interesting Brent OS website claims 2.2 and tower hobbies list it at 1.8 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHLV6&P=0 Modified that .18 TZ long time ago Brent no broken rod but I don't go as far with my mods as you do , I know this motor is not as beefy as a Nova Rossi so no extreme mods for it.

Wow, it has been a long time since I was involved with nitro RC cars. I wish I lived closer to a hobby shop. Well, the forum has grew quite a bit since I last was here. Nice to see that Brent is still pushing things with his big block CD3. One of these days, I will get back into it. I hope you guys will post more pics of your carsvery nice.
