Wow, I see this thread is still active. I still and will keep my CD3 which is a bad little ass ride BUT the only problem is the damn gears get torn up by rocks and pebbles. That sucks to make a few test runs and then gotta change out the gears. Anyways, good to see you guys still have the interest in 1/10 scale BB cars.

I haven't moved on yet. I've accomplished a lot in the last year with my 21 powered racer2 so not much else to go after. Just been trying to get everything faster now like my 90+ MPH nitro buggy.

DragRacer Jerrie, sorry but I don't get on here much.
I had a drag modded 3.3 in a NTC3 before and it ran just fine. Not nearly as much power as a good .21 but still ran good. You do not need wide foam tires at all. Just get a set of 40mm foams that fit 1/10th scale wheel hubs and let 'er eat.
Good luck man.

It is a handful,so much so that I rarely run it.Everytime I do so,it makes me into a nervous wreck.
It hasnt been clocked, but it definitly runs out of realestate in seconds,an it has to be shut down to turn it around
beforeit hits the 2 gear,If Im able to hold a straight line.It gets side ways at a half throttle punch.
Im glad that Ive seen some of the folks heres rides, now I see what type of tires their running...They are meats
that darn near go across the width of the back of the car.Now I know what tires that I will need to tame this beast...

Lol...I know its not much,like a modded engine,but damn its a screamer...Its just a stock 4 port 21 hyper engine.
The sleeve has lost its pinch,an I have 3 piston & sleeves.Im wanting to send in an have repinched.
However, the car will still fire up,an give me afew runs, enough to make my hands tremble...

Hey, guys it is important that you have wide rear tires but you don't want them too wide you want them just wide enough to give you traction. If you get the rear tires too wide it may look super cool but you are just increasing your rolling resistance. 40mm wide rear tires like Brent reccomended are all you will usually need for traction and if you are running a 1/10 scale car like the NTC-3, V1RR or a HPI you won't need any adapters for these ties to fit. You can get these tires from RC-Market . They are called Xceed tires style no. 101549 wide (rear ) here is a link to their website http://www.rcmarket.com.hk/ My first parking lot racer
