hey, haven't been in the rs4 threaded for a bit. Finally broke my Inferno GT in and try to race it with my rs4. Gotta say RS4 is the ****zzzy. Kyosho can't compare for ****zzt in terms of anything except that the body for the inferno gt looks really awesome because it's huge. I drove the inferno gt to the same distance from me as I usually do with my rs4 and it just isn't able to transmit the signal. The car just die out. Poor radio compare to HPI's stock radio. Also, it's a lot slower for gear one because it's really heavy. Top speed, my RS4 also takes that because it's light, uses a DIABLO .15 recommended by FerariMk13, and also I'm using stock gearing for an .18 motor so it's really fast. Love my RS4. Kyosho can't compare in terms of speed, acceleration, cornering, etc. Kyosho does beat it in terms of durability because it's really hugh. Love both my cars but RS4 is the best. There's a review for anybody who wants an inferno gt. It's worth it but not as fast as an rs4.

im glad u like the rs4, i really have no problem with it, and wouldnt want any other basher than this. Mines running really well too.
Yup, I went back to the track today and race again. I lean out the inferno gt this time. My RS4 kept up with it even though it's way smaller. After a while, then the inferno won. I was amazed. Bad thing is the inferno gt had that limited slip bearing for the pull start which took forever to start. It was like a workout while my rs4 started on 1st pull.
Big question: Does anybody know where I can get a 2000 Honda Civic hatchback body? Greatly appreciated.

You leaned the inferno GT too much that's why it was hard to restart it.In that case temperature is the main cause. Well wich one in your opinion runs faster laps the Rs4 18ss or the inferno GT?? I'm asking you cause some people I know own GTs and they once made fun of my 18ss. I invited them at the local racetrack to settle this but they never appeared...maybe they heared from the local shop (I personally know the owner and the emploees) that my engine is highly modified...who knows!?!

having problems getting my brothers to run.. he got the rtr evo 3+ and with the roto start we are having a heck of a time getting the thing running. riight now it's maybe a 1/2 turn from stock to the lean side and am wondering if anyone has had any problems with the roto start maybe not spinning it fast enough or somethin.. I have the ss and the pul start is working just fine for me.
Also what are the best temps to run these motors.. I'm at 200-215 but it seems a bit boggy when you are just about at shift speed.
Any help would be great. we now have 3 of these cars I bought the first one and the brother and neighbor got ticked and had to get one each for themselfs
LOL

I had the roto start for my T3.0 and it work fine. Starts everytime until I screw up the piston. Even after that, still works pretty good.
I did had a problem like that. It was because of the fuel. If you left it out for a couple of days, its flat and won't burn so try putting new fuel in before you try to start it. Also, check to see if the glow plug is still alive. Fully charge your roto start, then try cranking it. Hope this helps.
In response to GYNAIKAS, I mean drag racing strip. If it was the course track, the RS4 would of handle the inferno gt. The inferno gt just can't cut through corners without slipping, and it understeers because the dual rate on it isn't as much as the rs4. RS4 has way better aerodynamic on cornering than the inferno. No doubt.

Maoy is right but I'd also like to add that even if the glow plug flashes it doesn't mean it is good. Blow some air with your mouth on it when flashes. If it continues to flash all the time it's ok, if it stops flashing when you blow air on it and when you stop flashes again, then it's either bad or your igniter battery is low.
(Anyway...in my opinion the f360 modena is one of the best bodyshells for the GT.)

Bah,slightly urgent question here for people with CV-RX'. What screws did you use for connecting the engine mounts to the engine and then what screws to connect it all to the car?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I used 3x10 button head screws to mount the CVRX to the chassis.

CHECK THIS OUT!!!! I just bought the FW RR's racing fuel tank and it fits perfectly on the RS4!!! The tank is way better than the HPI racing fuel tank. It's more light, it has an overflow managment system and also the fuel output is covered with sponge material to prevent bubbles in the fuel line and to dry every single fuel drop in the tank!!! Here are some pics...

Looks smaller but it has the same capacity with the HPI ones. It doesn't fit precicely the holes but the plastics are flexible so it finaly fits!

I've driven the FW-RR around the track and one thing is for sure. There's no shaft driven car in the market that can compete against it when on track. Even pure racers can be beaten from the FW-RR with a good setup and a serious .12 engine on it.
EDIT: No I've not drilled any hole. It sits on the same mounting positionsas the stock tank...tha plastics are flexible and can handle the extra stress withoun any modification.

I was wondering if anybody in here have ever used Morgan Fuel (Sidewinder). If yes, there's a print on the bottle that states don't use after-run oil. I look it up on their website (http://www.morganfuel.com/cp_faq.htm) and it says that you shouldn't use it. But the website is referring to airplane engine. I was wondering if I should use after-run oil for my rc car since I usually burn it all out before I store it?
