The spacers go between the clips so that the arm doesn't move loose at all. Generally spacers are easy to be found and not only at hobbyshops...

PS) Hi f13...it's been a long time my friend!

Gotcha - any ideas on the brake shoes? I might have to take a pic but basically it seems like my disc is too thick or something. I can't get the disc between the shoes very well.

The space between the shoes is adjusted from the 2 screws that they hold them on the transmission box.

Yes but I think that even with the screws out all the way, the disc is too thick. Looking at the old screws (stock black ones) they have a smooth unthreaded section. These new ones come with a sleeve that is unthreaded (like the screw inserts into it) but it seems that area that is smooth is too shallow to fit the 2 shoes and the disc...I'll take pics when I get home.

Gynaikas, I think you mean a hardware store. Lowe's and Home Depot can also be of assistance.

I just wanted to give an update on my OS .18tz with AB stage 2 mod. The engine is insane at revving. The torque is amazing, the power is amazing, it pushes the rs4 to max speed in no time. This is the fastest small block engine period. AB MOD is definitely worth the money.

hey all, i've been absent for quite some time from here.. but i've only recently started using my car again.

i've got an issue with the carb, it's the standard rotary carb on the T15 HPI motor.
the problem is that it seem's to be blocked. no fuel was getting from the tank through the carb, i thought it was a problem with tank but i instead got a clean piece of silicone tubing and tried to blow air through the carb. my face went read and my cheeks hurt but no air went through. i opened the carb up (full throttle), and blew again and the smallest amount of air went through.

so i'm pretty sure this is where the problem lies.. can anyone help me out?

The high speed needle is stuffed with dust probably...remove it completely, disassemble, clean and reassemble. And maoy yes, hardware store is the word, thanks mate!

in trying to find the problem i removed the high speed needle, and tried blowing air just straight through that, and i could blow air through easily.

Inspect it part by part...I'm sure you'll find out what's wrong.

Hi guys!

I have never owned a nitro car/motor,but i do know and own FE cars and boats.

I am looking good and durable nitro car for driving around, not racing(yet).

I really like the looks of Hpi´s mustang.(my avatar is tt-01 with that shell)

So my questions are:

Is it easy enough for first timer (nitro),but fast enough to fly by my tamiya ta05 ifs-r with mamba 5700 and 2S lipos?

How long will that engine last? -with proper maintenance offcoarse.

Do you recommend something different for first nitro?

-how loud they are/ will i piss my neighbours off?

It's the perfect car for you. Not a begginner but an intermediate level car that can become very competitive with some modifications. For sure it's loud enough to piss some neightbours but it's more likely that they'll enjoy the show! Well I don't know the performance of your electric one but the stock RS4 EVO+ does easily 50+ mph out of the box.

my FE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFtpqh6fb30 -i dont know how fast this is ,though

-so Hpi is atleast this fast, cool.

-How about the engines durability?

-is the drift version any good? -i do have a electric drift car, i dont plan doing that on this, but the cog looks better on the drift version of the rs4. -and the rear exhaust.

-what is the stock radio modulation? -27 am?

stealthbomber, u won't be disappointed with the rs4. Out of the box, it's pretty fast. If you motor swap and do some mods, you will be amazed at the power and speed. I got my rs4 to hit close to 80mph with some mods. The engine last pretty long if you take care of it. You can run gallons through the engine before it dies. The engine eats little gas because it is only an .18cc size.

The drift version is not as good as the regular version. It has single speed and the final ratio is low (30mph or so for top speed) so you can maintain good torque for drifting. Get the regular version so you can get top speed (50 mph stock). You can get a rear exhaust for the rs4 3 at http://www.tsais.com/products/exhaus...ers/index.html. Looks better than the regular exhaust for the drift version.

Yes, the stock radio is am 27mhz I believe.

looks fast! -sounds better than i imaginated it would sound off.

-The "motor is durable, it will last many gallons" -part i dont get. -if something lasts only few gallons/10-20 litres of fuel i would use some other word then durable.[X(] -is the fuel consumption so low that few gallons will translate to tens of hours of use? -I´m used to drive FE remember, b/l motors only wear out the bearings. -and that takes years of dayly use!

a "Few gallons" translates to a ton of fuel when the fuel tank is 75cc. The fuel tank will last you about 10 - 12 mins depending and a gallon is a LOT of fuel. I just bought 1 gallon of o'donnells 20% and I've used maybe 1/2 a quart and i play with the car a fair bit (tires are done).

Thanks for that info!

-how badly do they smell -dont laugh, can i drive it and put it on the shelw on my bedroom right away(after it has cooled down) -or is it nessessary to do something to it first?

-what fuel is best to use,20% nitro and 16% lube? -is there different prosentage while braking it in?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/20041 + 80$shipping, is there a cheaper place? -tower costs the same. ,LHS price is 369€ (540$) -if I order from abroad, there will be 27% taxes added here, so

there is one different car that i am thinking off -a bit cheaper then rs4 too http://www.jr-hobby.com/shop/catalog...64&language=en

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..............STAY AWAY FROM CEN!!! The car is fast but it handles significantly worse than the RS4!!! And there are not so many hop ups available for it in case you ever decide to become competitive!

As for the smoke...it smells really bad...like a pair of basketball shoes after 10 games unwashed!!! Just kidding LOL In the beginning you'll find the smell a bit irritating for your throat. That smell is like magic to me! And yes 16%-25% car fuel is wat you need.
