If the stinger is bigger you will lose top end on your motor. That's why I didn't like the vantage carbon fiber pipe, the stinger was too big. I think it was only good for drag racing with a ported engine. But if you get a small stinger it will work good with your engine because these engines work on high rpm's. On a on road race or bash you hardly idle then launch.

Thanks for the info.
I am going to my shop tomorrow. Im pretty sure they have the THS pipe, so i will probably get that.
How is the HPI pipe?

I just wish the THS pipe had a bigger stinger. I have the THS pipe on my Super Nitro with an OS18 and it is so quiet.

I have a RS4 2 that has the stock Nitro Star .15 motor in it. I plan on taking it out and installing a Peak Racing Diablo engine.
What is needed to install this engine?

I've got a HPI T-15 paired with a RD Logics tuned pipe. I love how it sounds, but I've got no experience with any other pipes being that this is my first one Anyone else running the rd logics pipe?

Finished the chassis!! counter sunk and all, not machine perfect but It's one of a kind and I like it!
GPM 3mm aluminum chassis weight. 155g or 5.5 oz
My CF chassis 88g or 3.1oz
Nice 2.4oz weight reduction
The chassis is 3mm CF, still very stiff even with the cutouts!

How thick is that? I thought if doing it but once you make the sink holes for the screw it's will make it easier to crack once the screws are installed.
I was gonna try with 3mm but seemed too flexible and I was planning of not doing any cut outs.

It's 3mm, and it's still very stiff. I don't see where it would crack even with the screws, I didn't countersink that deep, just enough for the screws to be almost flush.
Though I will say it will probably not survive a big crash like aluminum will, but it's just a cool project and was fun to make

In a bad crash I'm sure it would crack but regular running for me, I doubt it.
It's surprisingly stiff!
I might not even use it on the car it took so long to make, it's precious to me now lol

Why about where the engine screwed down to? That has to be tightens up pretty tight so the motor wouldn't move around.
I was so close of doing it but all these conserns came to mind. When I was gonnado it I was not making any holes but for the flywheel. When I grabed the 3mm material and twisted it it will flex a bit do left me wondering if I should use 4mm.
Well let us know how it works out and bi the way you might have to add weight to the front do your tires can get some grip. So this is the cool part about weight reduction you now can add weight to where you want now.

I will need some wider spacers or maybe a thin plate to sandwich the chassis in for motor mounts.
It does have flex in my hand, but I don't think it will have a problem holding up a 3.2lb car.
I'm thinking it takes about 7lbs of force from my hands to start flexing a bit
We shall see how it works out soon. It's just a high speed car going straight lol
