RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Hey guys, sorry I've been MIA for a bit. Moved out to Wisconsin; can't really play with my rc stuff anymore until summer. Too cold up here. Well, sorry if I was unable to answer any Q's. Please let me know if anybody anything.

sick,
loving the three gears.
btw, how much did it roughly cost to put on the 3 gears? was it a entirely new transmission?
and the front of your car, what do the 2 extra adjustable arms do?(the black ones above the normal blue and silver ones)

For those of you that race I was wondering what kind of setups you use. I have a pretty much stock RS4 Evo+. I added adjustable turnbuckles and I'm usuing a Fantom FR15 motor. I have a setup station to make adjustments but I'm wondering what springs and suspension settings you guys use. I run on asphalt with foams and its usually a pretty technical track with one sometimes two straights less then 50ft.

Anyone ever try this clutch? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200296629544 I was curious- so I bought it. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet though. The weather has been too crappy.

well nitro answered the question about the foams, http://www.kamikazetoysandhobbies.co...ucts.php?cat=9
I use the centax clutch from hor bodies with an r40 clutch bell to give me more pinion options. I took the idea from jpsonoma his rs4 3 is the boom lick!! I use the Tsais muffler with the long hpi rear exhaust header.
The muffler is a Tsais item, which I cant find on their website any more. The header is hpi part 86163 (long header) or 86162 (short header)
http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/86162/
http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/86163/
Th extra arms are lundsford titanium items with rpm heavy duty rod ends. These limit the play in the front "c" assembly and I have found that less play gives more responsive steering, better tracking and longer life on my cvd's.
Oh and for anyone that cares... if you decide to go with the kawahara foams let sam at kamikaze know that we sent you...
also there is one more body that will fit with these wheels that is not lola style.... the hpi detomaso pantera.... i will post pics of it today as well....

here is the link to the "tomato" body: http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/17502/
As far as the chassis goes, I have found the stock item to be less prone to twist and the effects of "torque turn" seem less. And of course i get less stones too.
JP, your compliments are touching, I would like to publicly say that YOU are my inspiration and it could not have been done without you.
