Let me know if you have any questions!

The engine is a .30 and is 5.0cc

The CTR5.0 comes with carbon fiber tower, upper plates and radio tray, along with adjustable ball differentials. It is essentially the CT4R Pro kit in RTRform with a huge 5.0 engine.

FINALLY a car that MIGHT interest me.  I've of course made my own fast beast and would be nice to see more big block 1/10 th scale cars out there that are animals.....lol.

Definately post up some videos of this car so we can see just how fast it really is too.

Well since you are in R&D.

1. why not even come out with a shaft car and outfit the Kawahara sized 40mm rear tires and 30mm front tires? This would peak my interest even more as Iknow that as big as that engine is, those tires can't hold the power that well over time let alone guyslike me that would put a high powered .21 in the car.

2. althoughI could purchase a different body, why not come out with a lower, sleeker body that can cut thru the air alot better than the brick type bodies. The Stratus is a very good body to start with or equivalent. I assume that you guys use those bodies to keep from cutting it out and having the head stick out.

3. I really like what you guys are doing/did as this is EXACTLYwhat I didto my own car using an OFNACD3 that is shaft driven and I was able to make the Kawahara 40mm rear tires fit under a 200mm body and it is a BEAST as well. The shaft gives you the room to fit the tires.

Just adding my .02

Andrew,

Hopefully CEN does not use the same plastic as on their MG off-roaders. We have an MG and something breaks EVERYTIME it is run.Things like bumpers , wheels, steering knuckles, etc. should be made of something pliable... not stiff and brittle. I bought my sonthe MG 16 and it's fast and fun, when it's running. The first day we ran it I picked it up by thebumper and the front skidsnapped right off. I could not believe the piece that holds the bumper on would be so stiff and brittle as to break off from the weight of the car. What's more puzzling is that the bumper itself is somewhat flexible. To me that suggestszero QC and total lack ofmaterials engineering.I pick up my Savage and LST up by the bumper and thesetrucks weigh four times as much. We're on our fourth skid. Did CEN actually test these cars in the real world with impacts and rollovers ?He also has an E-Savage and Losi truck and they have never had any broken plastic so it's definately an issue with materials, something that your staff acknowledged when they sent us a replacement front skid/bumper bracket.

Sorry to vent here but it's extremely frustrating, I have been in the hobby for 25 years and have never seen a model shed as many parts as the MG.It's too badbecause it's fun to drive, butit hasgivenme zero confidence in your products. I wouldn't mind but the truck has less than 25 tanks run through it. For a frame of reference I have an OFNA buggy that is on it's third engine and still has 80% of it's original parts, most of it's time was spent bashing in a crushed stone quarry. It's the poster child for abuse but I can't remember the last time something broke on it. The MG was run in a park, on grass and still broke something EVERY run. I live in the real world and expect broken parts, but c'monyou should not break something every time a car flips over. Even the body is fragile and brittle, it 's not genuine Lexan that's for sure.

Andrew, here's an open invitation to keep us as CEN customers... Let me send you my son's broken MG in exchange for a new one, your customer service rep thought I was joking and really didn't care to make good on my request. It's really not unreasonable, in fact I picked up a clean used MG for parts and ironically it came with a bag of commonly broken spare parts . I've already used the wheels, bumpers, body posts, and wheelie bar... unfortunately we're out of spares so the truck is sidelined once again. Seeing that you offer trade ins why not trade our broken CEN for a new CEN ? Hopefully my last correspondance with CEN was a fluke and is not standard operating procedure. If CEN customer service is as good as you say please PM me to arrange a replacement.

Brent,

Thanks for your comments!  The body has not been fully determined at this time.  We may offer two different body types, one similar to the one show in the pictures above, and another with a much lower profile.  The engine is large however as you stated.  ; )

Also the CTR5.0 will accept up to 30mm wheels which I use in the rear when racing.

Steve,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the MG16.  We have sold thousands of the MG line.  They have proven to be quite durable on many levels.  The CTR5.0 is extremely durable as well.   You are more than welcome to send your MG vehicle in to our US office for inspection.  You can also send us the parts that you have broken with a copy of your reciept and we will be more than happy to send you replacements.

Our United States Research and Development Team, doesn't work on every single project / vehicle.  We primarily worked or have worked on the 1/8th scale line along with the Nitro Sedan Line, including this CTR5.0.

Thanks for your comments and feel free to email or call our customer service at anytime.

Total3d,

LoL... Ive raced the CT4 competitively and it corners very well with the proper adjustments.  ; )  There are alot of variables in any competitive racing vehicle that can effect the cars cornering etc.  Tires, suspension, differentials, camber, toe in, caster, wheel base, and much more.  ; )

Thats what makes r/c so much fun for me...... tuning the vehicles and making them fast.  On straights and turns.

Thanks again guys for your comments.

Andrew you really should try a set of those kawahara tires. The 40mm wide tires in the back will make the car have more traction and be more controlable . The kind of motors Brent uses in his car are extremely modified and he gets his cars to hook up with these tires they would be perfect for that big block monster you have in your car. The only problem is you have to usedkawahara car body which is wide enough to cover up the tires. Kawahara sells a conversion kit that includes tires and body but you can buy the tires by themselves you really should give them a try.

not surprised it almost looks like a RS4 platform. just a little different. this design platform has been out for years. The RS4 has definately proven itself. speed and otherwise. Just my opinion, the way I see it.
