engine cooling

What are the different ways that you guys keep your engines cool. I find that when i run with the case on the engine can get quite hot

Ventilation holes in the shell. One in the front, one in the rear (both about 2in diameter) which are on the same side as the engine - you want to be able to see all the way through the front hole, past the cooling fins on the engine and back out the rear hole. This will allow the air to pass easily through the car when it is moving. You might also want to cut out a side window as this should allow you to acess the pullstart without removing the shell. Oh, and if you want to be able to start the engine without removing the shell cut a small hole directly above the glow plug, which is just big enough for the glow starter to fit through.

and run it a little on the rich, not that it will eat up power but keep it nice and coll , like in the 220F range but not below 200F, being to cold is just as bad as to hot

Keep the engine clean. I find that even a light amount of dirt or grime can cost anywhere from 10-25 degrees farenheit.
