RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
They are all over ebay.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
And cheap too. You'll probably pay more for shipping then the part .
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Does anyone know how to adjust the brakes? i need pics on how to adjust the brakes?
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
There's a few ways. It could be the settings on your remote. It could be the two screws holding the break pads. It could be the fuel line link on your break, too long or too short. Or screw in or out the screw that hold the fuel line link for your break.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
I knows its not the throttle servo so it must be the brake link or the pads thanks car tune!
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Well i just looked at it. And did some nig rig.All i did was put a extra spacer on the brake link. I used a pieace of a fuel line as the spacer. Now when i brake it doesnt move at all.</p> |
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Does anyone know how to re position the steering servo?I cant fully turn my wheels to the left due to that the servo is on the way.
Just throw me some ideas and I will try them. |
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Take the servo saver off, center the servo trim on the remote and put it back on with the tires pointed straight and then you can adjust the trim if needed.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
That's not the problem. The problem is that the steering arm hits the servo
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Oh.. mine does too but it has equal steering both directions.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
I have tilted the servo at an angle. It works fine. i will post up picture soon so if anyone has that problem.
A few days ago I slid into a puddle of mud so my car is all muddy I tried cleaning it but then there is places that its hard to reach and clean, I ordered Boca bearings and will be replacing soon, i will be taking my car apart to replace all the bearings and in the process i will clean my entire car, can anyone tell me what the best stuff to use to clean with? Ive seen nitro cleaner but its good for de greasing, and Ive seen people use wd40 also. Please point me to the right direction. |
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
if you can post a picture of that prob;em your having with the servo that would be great.
are you totally taking apart the car?? if so just use some soap and water and dry the parts off. its cheaper then the nitro cleaner |
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
I ushually just clean all the areas that can be reached. Yea i need to get a failsafe because my car keeps running off on me. I ran into the curb and ben the front of the chassis. im pissed lol
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Get yourself a decent air compressor as well. After EVERY run I like to blow off the cooling head by the glow plug, the fuel tank, the exterior of the carb, all drive shafts, and all four corners of the vehicle.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Ya i agree with that as well it saves alot of time later doen the road cleaning if you ever have to replace a part or glow plug. Or you can just go 2.4 with a bulit in fail safe
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
I do have a 2.4 i just dont know how to set it. It also only has a failsafe for nuetral not brake. Atleast thats what hpi says.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
What you should do is turn on both receiver and radio. Turn off the radio then the servo will neutralize, unscrew the throttle servo horn. Lift it up an pull it back till the disc breaks lock the disc break. Once you find the position you want set the servo horn onto the servo and tighten screw back on.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Well i just boughr a failsafe made by duratraxx. Its installed except the brakes only apply when i turn it on. Shoouldnt it be the opposite where when i turn it off the brakes will apply?
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Well i returned that failsafe at my local hobby shop and they set the failsafe for me.

RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Well I've taken my entire car apart in clouding opening the differential casings and removing all bearings off my car. All I'm doing is waiting for my new bearings from Boca but they have delayed the shipment for some problem they had. The previous bearing I used I had purchased off of eBay for about $25 but I think they are as good as stock ones.
I recently got my OS 18tz ported so I'm hoping I will be running faster speeds and time at the 132ft. The fastest speed I've been clocked with an old tz I had was 55 mph with 23/45 gearing. My gearing now is 23/41, I didn't want to use 37 spur cus that would be mainly for high speed runs and I'm trying to get a good run in the 132 ft track. 37 will slow me down on the 132. I'm on the hunt for more power and speed, my sons HPI sprint 2 flux got better timing and speed than my rs4. The flux ran 2.3 at 58mph wile I ran 2.4 at 55mph In a few weeks we've got the autorama and we will be racing indoors |
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Nice car tune! how long does it take to take the car apart? Im thinking about doing a full clean and taking the car apart so i can learn more about it.
|
RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
I purchased a small hand drill and hex bits which makes it alot easier and faster. The cleaning took longer.
